Security settings example - using secure clients
Example:
We want to secure Proxy+ using secure client IP addresses. Clients with allowed access
uses IP addresses from range 192.168.0.0-192.168.0.255.
Settings:
1) Go to the "Security\General" WWW admin page and
enable following options.

Discussion of options above
Log security violation - when checked all attempt to use secured services will be logged into SecLog.TXT file (Secure log)
Immediate abort unsecure connections - when checked the connection will be closed when Proxy+ detect unsecure request. When unchecked Proxy+ sends some error message before the connection is closed (like Access denied error WWW page in case of unsecure HTTP request).
Use secure IP addresses - when checked Proxy+ checks whether request come from secure client. If the client's IP address can't be found in list of enabled (secure) clients then the request will be denied.
Check security on SMTP connections - when checked security will be tested on Proxy+'s SMTP server incoming connections. In most cases you should check this option. Only when you want to use Proxy+'s SMTP mail server to receive messages for entire domain you need to uncheck this option.
Check security on POP3 connections - when checked Proxy+ uses security on POP3
connections. You need to uncheck this option only when you want to enable access to the
Proxy+'s POP3 boxes from
Internet (example: you have a leased line connection to the company and you want to allow
downloading of POP3 messages to user outside the company).
2) Go to the "Security\Clients"
WWW admin page.
Type "192.168.0.0-192.168.0.255" (without parenthesis) to the "New
client IP:" field and press the Add button.

3) Restart the Proxy+ using Administrator/Restart WWW Admin page.
